I-House offers you all your usual I-House programs...plus more! Such events include Compassion Week, International Education Week, and International Day of the Girl Child. 

International Education Week

Every Fall quarter, UCSD celebrates International Education Week (IEW). During this week all cultures, people, and language are celebrated. IEW is a joint initiative by the US Department of State and the Department of Education. It is celebrated annually in more than 100 countries worldwide. UCSD celebrates IEW and affirms its dedication to international exchange and education through various events.

International Women's Day

On March 8th, International Women's Day (IWD) is celebrated throughout the world. On this day, women are inspired and recognized for their economic, political, and social achievements.

Compassion Week

Compassion Week is an effort by International House UCSD and Outreach Coordinators to promote the power of compassion. Compassions is often overlooked today. It is needed to understand and connect to each other- on the diplomatic level AND individual level. With compassion and kindness, we can be fully healthy and happy to overcome life's challenges. Through various events, Compassion Week aims to reminds us to be compassionate to others and to ourselves. Compassion is power.
