Holly Hathrell is an international exchange student from the University of York, England. She is a second year Physics major, but when she doesn’t have her head in a textbook, she loves traveling, hiking, swimming, adding to the list of words Americans think sound funny with her accent and, of course, surfing! The highlight of her year so far has been surfing with dolphins on Black's Beach.
Minna Yoon is a Facility Monitor at International House. She is currently a senior at UCSD and is majoring in Mechanical Engineering. She is a member of the Delta Delta Delta sorority and in her free time she likes to shop, read, hang out with friends, and run. She also likes to travel when she has the money.
Salem Hawatmeh is a Facility Monitor at International House. A third year undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Human Biology and a second year International House resident, Salem joined the team of Facility Monitors during the 2011-2012 academic year. His interest in different cultures persuaded him to live in International House, which further encouraged him to become part of the International House staff as a Facility Monitor for Great Hall. Outside of International House, Salem has served as an Orientation Leader for Sixth College two years in a row, he serves on Sixth College Student Council, and is a member of the Student Fee Advisory Committee. He spends his free time going to concerts, meeting new people, and pursuing his passion in the field of medicine.
Susannah Seaholme-Rolan is a Facility Monitor at International House. She is a UCEAP student from the Australian National University located in Canberra, Australia. Susannah is currently a third year student studying Art History and Film Studies. In her free time she enjoys traveling to new places, live music, movies and the arts.
Semaan Farah is the definition of a global citizen born in the USA from Lebanese parents. In 4th year of Aerospace engineering, Semaan’s ambition is to work for NASA or Airbus. In the meantime, he is a valuable member of the facility monitor team at the Great Hall. Longboarding and travelling is his passion. Easy to talk to, you will always be able to find him for an entertaining and original conversation. World peace!
Serge Chakmakjian epitomizes the global citizen all International House residents strive to become. Growing up in Cyprus and Dubai, he attended an elite International English Academy to broaden his life horizons. Serge is dedicated to sharing his cosmopolitan gifts with the I-House community. His hobbies include soccer, gadgets, and largesse.
