If you wish to live in UCSD's International House, you must turn in an application. Applications received after the deadline will still be accepted and may be considered, depending upon room availability. Applications are always accepted for vacancies during the year on a rolling basis.

Applications will be given priority for consideration based on our selection process. While previous international experience is not required, a genuine interest and willingness to participate in the I-House community is essential. Applicants should carefully consider their schedule so as to ensure that they will be able to participate in the I-House community. Every year, the number of applications we receive exceeds the number of rooms available. So an applicant's commitment to the goals of I-House and a willingness to be an active member of the community play a large part in the final selection. Your commitment to I-House should be clearly described in your application.

Because admission to International House is competitive and is never guaranteed, we encourage you to consider other housing options at the same time that you apply for I-House. If you are interested in living on-campus, you should fill out an application for other (non I-House) on-campus housing at http://hds.ucsd.edu/waitinglist.html.
